(College Station, TX) — Former President George H.W. Bush is resting in peace after nearly a week of national mourning.
The 41st president was interred on Thursday at his presidential library at Texas A&M. A private ceremony took place after Bush’s casket was transported by train from Houston to College Station. Thousands of people lined the tracks to say goodbye. There was a dramatic military flyover after Bush’s casket arrived at the presidential library and museum. Marines gave the former president a 21-gun salute.
