(Dallas, TX) — Texas is beginning 2019 nearly drought-free and the state’s water supply is the highest in more than a quarter-century.
The Texas Water Development Board reports the statewide water supply is at nearly 90-percent capacity, the highest since 1993. According to the Dallas Morning News, less than two-percent of the state is under moderate drought conditions. North Texas had the wettest fall on record with 29-point-21 inches of rain recorded at DFW International Airport from September through November.
