North Texas House Damaged After Train Derailment

(Aubrey, TX) — a Union Pacific train derailed and damaged a house in North Texas on Wednesday morning.

Thirteen empty rail cars overturned about 9:30 a.m. in Aubrey, which is northeast of Denton.  One car crashed through a homeowner’s wooden fence, knocked over a tree, and damaged a shed.   The tree fell onto the house, damaging the roof and gutters.  No word yet on what caused the derailment.  No injuries were reported.
