(Stephenville, TX) – One man is behind bars and a woman is dead following a fatal accident that happened Sunday afternoon at Hwy 281 and Business 377 in Stephenville.

The Stephenville Empire Tribune reports 24-year-old Justin Schrader has been charged with driving while intoxicated.  Police have not yet released details on the crash, however a 40-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a man traveling with her was flown to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth.  Schrader is being held at the Erath County Jail.

Previous charges for Schrader include public intoxication in 2012, 2013 and 2017. He was also charged with racing on a highway and evading arrest in January of last year.
