Two Houston Cops In Critical But Stable Condition

(Houston, TX)  —  Two Houston police officers who were shot while serving a search warrant on Monday are in critical but stable condition.

Chief Art Acevedo said several officers immediately came under fire as they breached a home on Harding Street in southeast Houston.  Two other officers who were shot will remain at the hospital for 24 hours.  A fifth officer suffered a knee injury.  Two suspects were killed at the scene.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is asking for prayers.  He called it a “horrific attack” and said it’s a reminder of the service and sacrifice law enforcement makes every day.  He also promised the Houston Police Department whatever resources they need.
