(Weatherford, TX) – An Arrest has been made in a weekend shooting in Weatherford.

Parker County Deputies arrested 19-year-old William Ross Burger of Mineral Wells in connection with a shooting that took place shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of Ballew Springs Road in Weatherford.  According to the sheriff’s office, a woman said Burger shot her during an argument that escalated between two groups that had been racing at the Mineral Wells Airport.  Investigators say Burger shot at a car and the bullet went through the door hitting the woman in the leg.  She has since been treated and released from the hospital.

Burger has been charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, he’s currently being held in the Parker County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
