(Undated) — A massive healthcare system merger in Texas is being called off.
Baylor Scott & White Health and Memorial Hermann Health System announced the decision this week saying they are able to achieve their future visions without merging. The hospital groups are promising to look at other opportunities to work together. The now-canceled merger was originally announced last year and would have been worth 14-billion dollars.
Memorial Hermann is located around Houston, while Baylor Scott & White mainly operates in North and Central Texas.
