(Denton, TX) — Health officials reported on Wednesday that there’s now one confirmed case of measles in Denton County.
They didn’t identify the patient, but are contacting people who may have been exposed to the disease. Health officials are urging the public to get a measles vaccination, since the disease is more serious than many people realize, especially in children.
Five measles cases were reported earlier this week in the Houston area, and another was confirmed in Bell County on Tuesday.
