(Stephenville, TX) – The City of Stephenville has a plan to improve property values by building better sidewalks.

The City Council has approved a Sidewalk Cost Sharing Program for residents who want to replace or install a new sidewalk in front of their home.  According to the Empire Tribune, eligible homeowners can apply for 50/50 funding split, with the city picking up 50 percent of the cost.  City officials say Property values for citizens who participate are expected to go up.
