(Fort Worth, TX) — Senator John Cornyn is gearing up for his 2020 re-election campaign, and he made a stop in Fort Worth on Wednesday.
The senator appeared at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History to talk about a new federal law to fund STEM-related education programs at schools and universities. The long serving Republican also fielded questions about President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency to pay for the southern border wall, and about Beto O’Rourke, who may make a run for the White House in 2020 or even against Cornyn’s Senate seat.
Cornyn has started a “Stop Beto Fund” asking supporters to chip in.
