(Granbury, Tx)- The scooter invasion may be headed to Granbury.

The City Council has been approached by a company that wants to bring a fleet of scooters.  The Hood County news reports that San Antonio based Blue Duck Scooters wants to set up rentable scooters in areas where special events are taking place and sidewalks around the historic Granbury square.  Scooters would cost $1 to unlock and 15 cents per minute to ride, they can only be unlocked by someone with a valid driver license.

A spokesman for Blue Duck said “geo-fencing” technology would keep the scooters from going anywhere the city didn’t want them too.  City officials have not yet said if they will seriously consider the proposal.
