(Arlington, TX)  —  Police say a man scammed at least four people in Arlington into renting homes he didn’t own and collected money from them.

Officers arrested 33-year-old Clinton Argilagos on felony theft charges on Thursday.  Investigators say Argilagos would find a vacant home for sale, remove the “For Sale” sign, and put up a “For Rent” sign with his number on it.  When somebody called, he would meet with them and collect a security deposit and the first month’s rent.

When two victims tried to move into the same house the same day, they called police.
