(Weatherford, TX) – A former Parker County judge has been scolded for hiring and giving undeserved raises to a woman he was having a romantic relationship with, while he was in office.

Ex Parker County Judge Mark Riley was given the public reprimand this week by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct following an investigation that began in December 2017 and ended in February 2019.  An investigation, the commission says Riley failed to cooperate with.

Riley, who served as Parker County’s top official for nearly 20 years, lost his re-election bid last year and resigned in September, two months before his term ended.
