(Fort Worth, TX) — An investor with ties to Fort Worth is among over 40 people named in a college admissions scandal.

The Star-Telegram reports Bill McGlashan was charged yesterday with conspiracy to commit mail fraud.  McGlashan’s company, TPG Growth was founded in Fort Worth but is now headquartered in San Francisco.  Other top names connected to the scheme are actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin.  The charges stem from a nationwide probe into exam-cheating and athletic recruitment for wealthy families.
