(Houston, TX) — The new record for attendance at a concert at the Houston Rodeo belongs to the previous record-holder, George Strait.

Along with special guests Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen, Strait closed out the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with an audience of 80-thousand-108 fans.  The previous concert record was set in 2013, when 80-thousand-20 fans showed up for George Strait and his special guests Martina McBride and the Randy Rogers Band.

Strait’s performance this year was his 30th at the rodeo since 1984.
