(Dallas, TX)  —  Dallas-based Southwest Airlines is moving its Boeing 737 Max 8 jets into storage at Victorville Airport in California.

Fort Worth-based American Airlines has also taken its Max 8’s offline.  The Max 8 has been grounded almost everywhere after a couple of recent deadly crashes involving airlines in Indonesia and Ethiopia.  Southwest and American are canceling hundreds of flights a day in April as a result.

Pilots with the airlines met with Boeing over the weekend to discuss what’s being done.  No telling how long the planes will be out of service.
