The FAA says the system-wide outage that hit several major airlines this morning was short-lived.
Tech issue hits multiple airlines, grounding flights across the country, including Dallas based Southwest Airlines. The FAA says outages also are affecting United, JetBlue, and Alaska Airlines. Southwest Tweeted this morning that the “tech problem” it experienced appears to have been resolved, but it will take some time to get flights back on schedule. Things were quickly back to normal at Dallas Love Field.
The FAA says the service is back on line and delays should be minimal. The FAA believes a third-party vendor may have caused the outage.
