(Fort Worth, TX) — Property valuation notices for 2019 in Tarrant County are expected to be mostly higher again this year.
Chief appraiser Jeff Law with the Tarrant Appraisal District says the average values will likely rise seven to ten-percent countywide. Higher appraisals usually mean higher tax bills from cities, counties and school districts. Real estate sales prices continued to rise over the past year, leading to higher appraisals. Price growth is expected to slow down this year.
