(Granbury, Tx) – A Hood County man convicted of sexually abusing children is back in custody after being on the run since January.

The Hood County Sheriff’s Office says 50-year-old George Ray Davis, a former Pecan Plantation resident, was apprehended in Louisiana.  Davis had been the subject of a manhunt since failing to show up for court during his January trial for Indecency With a Child.  Davis was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

The Sheriff’s Office posted a statement on Facebook that Davis will be extradited back to Hood County to answer for his actions.
