(Benbrook, TX) —  One person is recovering from injuries suffered in an explosion that leveled an upscale home under renovation in a gated community on Bella Flora Drive near FM 1187 in Benbrook.

Fire officials say one member of a painting crew was inside the six-thousand-square-foot home Saturday evening when the explosion happened.  The victim suffered burns and was taken by Careflight to Parkland Hospital.  The Tarrant County Fire Marshall says fumes from lacquer being used were somehow ignited.

The owners were not living in the home at the time.  The house is considered a total loss.
