Twitter Blames Ted Cruz For Texas Tech Loss

(Undated) — Texas Senator Ted Cruz is catching a lot of heat for prematurely celebrating a Texas Tech victory on Twitter during last night’s NCAA men’s basketball championship game.

The Republican senator tweeted a selfie captioned, “35 seconds. ONE point LEAD. GO RED RAIDERS!!! #1 Defense.” Unfortunately for the Red Raiders, Cruz and Texas Tech fans, Virginia tied the game and won the title in overtime, 85-77.

Among the tweets from disappointed Texas Tech fans, “this is why they lost,” “Cursed image,” and “Ted Cruz is the kiss of death.”
