(Dallas, TX) — Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport may add a sixth passenger terminal over the next few years.
DFW is the main hub for Fort Worth-based American Airlines. Airport officials say Terminal F could be designed in such a way as to allow more planes to park in a smaller space. Terminal C, the busiest at the airport, would likely be in for an upgrade as well, since it hasn’t had an overhaul in 20 years.
An airport official says the new terminal would be part of a capital improvement project that could cost up to four-billion-dollars through 2025.
