(Fort Worth, Tx) – Police are investigating a threat posted on social media, targeting a Fort Worth High School.

Security was beefed up this morning at Eastern Hills High School, where Fort Worth PD says extra officers were sent to the campus on Shelton Street.  Investigators say they became aware of the threat on Sunday when someone posted a picture of a gun on Instragram with the statement “Ready for the big day tomorrow where I can finally unleash the inner demons that have been eating me alive…Many lives will be lost tomorrow but God will forgive me for he has always.”

The Fort Worth ISD said the district takes all threats seriously, however, they believe students and faculty will be safe at the school.
