(Dallas, Tx) – Not only has the weather delayed or cancelled around 50 flights this morning, Love Field is also dealing with a flood problem that shut down two of their parking garages.
Overnight rains flooded the A and B parking garages at the Dallas airport. Dozens of cars could be seen trapped in the garages with flowing water up to the tires and in some cases up to the roof of the car. The lower level into the terminal is also closed to through traffic. Love Field Tweeted that all passengers looking for ground transportation such as taxis and rental car shuttles should go to the upper level instead. Parking garage C is open, however passengers coming to the airport are encouraged to catch a ride, Uber or Lyft.
Crews brought in pumps to get the water out of the garages. The airport says they believe the water is coming from runoff in the nearby neighborhood. Anyone with damage to their vehicle should file a claim with their insurance and the City of Dallas.
