Tuesday Storms Cause Damage In North Texas

(Denton, TX) — Residents of several North Texas counties are picking up after severe weather swept through the area on Tuesday evening.

Tornado warnings were issued for Tarrant, Parker, Denton and Wise Counties during rush hour. The National Weather Service confirms at least one tornado touched down in Denton near Texas Woman’s University and blew down some trees. Wind damage is reported in several communities that were under tornado warnings.

There are also scattered reports of power outages and flash flooding.
