(Granbury, Tx) – A two-year prison sentence has been given to an Arlington man, convicted in a deadly Hood County hit and run accident.

The jury sentenced 35-year-old Clinton Dwayne Sandel to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine after finding him guilty for the death of 19-year-old Blythe Baggett.  The Hood County News reports Baggett was skateboarding home on old Acton Highway in April of 2017, when he was hit by Sandel and left in the roadway.

Sandel came forward the next day to claim responsibility.  He was charged with failing to stop and render aid with serious bodily injury or death.
