(Weatherford, Tx) – Weatherford City Council approved a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for landscaping on South Main Street.

According to the Weatherford Democrat, the landscaping improvements would be implemented on medians from Interstate 20 to Cleburne Road.  TxDOT is removing the current landscaping and the city is concerned that curbs will be destroyed in the process, with the replacement cost for curbs falling on the city.  The project also includes the construction of a monument with Weatherford’s logo on it.

Cost of the landscape project is estimated to be around $355,000.
