(Comanche County, Tx) – A Comanche woman, just one day shy of her 20th birthday was killed in a two car accident early Wednesday morning on Hwy. 67, two miles east of Proctor.

The Stephenville Empire Tribune reports 19-year-old Carla Ontiveros died at the scene.  According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ontiveros was traveling eastbound on 67 when she veered into the westbound lane and struck a Ford F350 pickup driven by a 39-year-old Stephenville man.  He was taken to a Fort Worth hospital in critical condition.  His passenger was transported to Comanche County Medical Center in serious condition.
