(Abilene, Tx) – A curfew was put in place over the weekend, for the people in Abilene following a devastating tornado.
The National Weather Service confirmed that at least an EF-2 tornado struck Saturday morning. The Abilene City Council put an 8:30pm curfew in place for the four impacted areas. The curfew allowed Abilene police to stop people disobeying the rule and question them. Officers will be stationed in the damaged areas 24 hours a day to prevent looting.
The curfew was lifted Monday morning at 5:30.
