(Fort Worth, TX)  —  An eight-year-old girl is safe after being snatched off the street while on a walk with her mom.

Police in Fort Worth issued an AMBER Alert saying Salem Sabatka was grabbed and whisked into a car by a man on Saturday evening.  A tip early Sunday morning led police to the Woodspring Suites Hotel in Forrest Hill.  Officers found Salem 8 hours after she’d been taken, in the motel room with 51-year old Michael Webb.  He was arrested and has been charged with aggravated kidnapping.  Police say Webb is believed to be a transient from Tyler.  Salem was taken to the hospital to be checked out, and investigators say she seemed to be in good shape.

To celebrate the safe return of the kidnapped little girl, residents of Ryan Place got together Sunday for a group walk to show gratitude that Salem is back with her family.  Tim Keith, president of the Ryan Place Improvement Association, organized the neighborhood walk.
