Texas Gas Prices Down In Time For Holiday Weekend

(Dallas, TX) — Just in time for the holiday weekend, gas prices are going down.

Triple-A Texas says the statewide average gas price in Texas is two-56 a gallon for regular unleaded. That’s down 20-cents a gallon from this day last year. The national average gas price is two-84, down 12-cents a gallon from last year. In the Metroplex, we’re paying an average of two-59 a gallon, down from two-79 a year ago.

Triple-A says a record three million Texans will drive to their Memorial Day weekend destinations.
