(Weatherford, Tx) – Parker County has a new full time Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator.

County Commissioners approved the hiring of Sean Hughes to the dual position.  Both jobs had previously been covered by part time employees, Fire Marshal Kurt Harris and EMC George Teague, who will now work along side Hughes in those positions.

Hughes has 35 years’ experience in fire service and 25 in emergency management.  He comes to Parker County most recently from College Station but is no stranger to North Texas where he began his career as a Firefighter/EMT in Mansfield.
