(Fort Worth, TX) — The National Weather Service is confirming that at least eight tornadoes hit North Texas on Wednesday.

Twisters touched down in or near Saginaw and Rockwall, in Kaufman County, in the Heritage Trace subdivision in north Fort Worth, and in the Denton County city of Krum.  The hardest hit city was Canton, about 60 miles east of Dallas, which was hit by three tornadoes, including two EF-1s and an EF-2.

Despite the storm damage, Canton’s First Monday Trade Days is moving forward as scheduled this weekend.
