(Colleyville, TX) — Colleyville Heritage High School has a star shortstop who’s expected to be one of the top two picks in today’s MLB Draft.

Bobby Witt Jr. is the son of a star pitcher who was the third overall pick in the 1985 draft.  Bobby Witt Sr. played for the Texas Rangers until 1992, then closed out his 16-year major league career with World Series champions Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001.

Witt Jr. is expected to carry on his dad’s winning ways as a family tradition.
