Fort Worth Pair Charged With Animal Cruelty Over Skinny Dog

(Fort Worth, TX) — Two people are under arrest in Fort Worth and charged with animal cruelty.

Investigators say James Turner and Ceaira Dorn brought a filthy and undernourished dog to the Fort Worth Animal Shelter in April. The dog was so weak it was unable to stand up. Dorn claimed the dog had been hit by a car and she couldn’t afford to take it to the vet.

An animal rescue group has spent more than 16-hundred-dollars helping the dog recover to a healthy weight.
