(Colleyville, TX) — A Colleyville Heritage High School baseball star is off to Kansas City to start his pro career.

The Royals made shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. the number-two overall pick in Monday’s Major League Baseball draft.  He’s the son of Bobby Witt Sr., who was drafted number-three overall by the Rangers in 1985.

They’re the only father-son pair in league history to be picked in the top five overall.
