(Weatherford, Tx) – A routine traffic stop in Weatherford nets 57 lbs of Marijuana.

It started Sunday evening when two Weatherford Police Officers came up on an unoccupied vehicle on the I-20 eastbound service road near E. BB Fielder Rd.  Shortly after a man walked up saying he had car problems.  The driver said he was traveling from El Paso to Fort Worth and originally gave a false name.  The officers became suspicious of the man’s behavior and got consent to search the car where they found 47 bundles of pot hidden in the rear quarter panels and trunk of the car.

Police said the suspect, Jorge Ramos is believed to be a gang member from El Paso.  He’s currently in the Parker County jail for failure to identify and marijuana possession.
