(Fort Worth, TX) — For the Monday in a row, tens of thousands of people in North Texas were left without power as a result of strong Sunday storms.

At the height of the storm close to 95,000 were without power, most in Tarrant County.  This morning Oncor showed that number down to just under 15,000 with more than 10,000 of those in Tarrant, nearly 200 customers in Johnson County.  Straight-line wind speeds as high as 63 mph were measured at Fort Worth’s Meacham International Airport.  Storm damage was reported in North Fort Worth in the Crawford Farms area east of I-35W.  Two homes were badly damaged in the Heritage Trace neighborhood.  Pictures and video on social media showed downed trees, power lines and fences and a trampoline that had been tossed around.    The National Weather Service will investigate today to find out if there were any tornadoes in North Texas.

We posted video of a boat getting whipped around on Eagle Mountain Lake on the Hank FM Facebook page.
