Death Of Child In Hot Car Investigated

(Bardwell, TX) — The Texas Rangers are assisting with the investigation into the death of an 11-month-old girl who was found in a car last week in Bardwell.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s office says deputies responded to a call last Friday afternoon about an unresponsive child in a car on Elm Street. Deputies say the child was not breathing, and they performed CPR on her until EMTs arrived at the scene. She was pronounced dead and was taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.

No word yet as to where her parents were.
