(Aledo, Tx) – In hopes of bringing more festivals to town, the Aledo City Council will start looking into the creation of regulations for alcohol to be allowed at events in city parks and facilities.

Aledo Mayor Kit Marshall tells the Weatherford Democrat, “We have had several requests for the use of alcohol in our city parks and community center. At the present time, it’s not allowed,”.  In the meantime, the council unanimously approved allowing the Aledo Wine and Art Festival to take place at the community center and surrounding park this Fall.

City staff will start the process of coming up with alcohol regulations to bring back to a future council meeting.
