(Weatherford, Tx) – Funeral Services take place today for a 6-year-old Parker County boy who was killed simply by touching the side of his mobile home.

The Weatherford Democrat reports Edwin Diaz died after being electrocuted at his home on Oak Crest Drive.  The Parker County Sheriff’s Office says the boy had been swimming on July 4th, when he got out of the pool, he apparently touched the side of the trailer and got shocked.  Investigators say when his mother tried to pick him up, she received an electrical shock through his body.  Diaz was taken to the hospital but later died.

Authorities determined an outdated faulty breaker box was to blame for the accident.  Diaz had just completed kindergarten at McCall Elementary School in Aledo.
