Member Of FW Human Relations Commission Ousted Over Posts

(Fort Worth, TX) — The Fort Worth Human Relations Commission says one of its members has been removed.

The other members voted on Monday to remove Commissioner Mike Steele over social media posts that some people found objectionable. Steele was one of the ten-member commission that consults with the city on racial, ethnic, or religious discrimination. Steele had been with the commission since 2015 and would have eligible for reappointment in October.

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price was among those who called on him to resign.
