(Renton, WA) — Southwest Airlines is extending cancellations of its Boeing 737 MAX flights even further.
The Dallas based airline says it will not fly its 737 MAX models until at least November or perhaps longer. This follows similar schedule changes announced by Fort Worth based American and United Airlines. It will mean cancellations of about 180 flights a day out of about four-thousand Southwest flights.
It’s due to uncertainty over when MAXs will certified again after two fatal crashes within five months killed 346 people.
