(Lake Granbury, TX) — A three-year-old girl is recovering after being stranded alone on a boat for hours.

Hood County Sheriff’s deputies say Oscar Robledo took his daughter boating with him on Lake Granbury on Thursday, but sometime in the evening he got out of the boat and drowned.  His daughter wasn’t found until Friday morning when someone noticed a boat drifting close to shore, went over and found the toddler asleep in it.  The little girl reportedly said, “daddy went swimming”.

His body was recovered a short time later.  An autopsy report says there are no signs of foul play.
