(Waxahachie, TX) — The mother who was found dead with her son in Waxahachie last week had recently been granted unsupervised visits with her son, according to court records.
When John Wiedemann and Candace Harbin were divorced in 2017, Wiedemann received sole custody of their son Ollie. The court said Harbin could only have supervised visits with the boy. A psychologist recommended earlier this year that Harbin be allowed unsupervised visits. An AMBER Alert was issued last Friday for both Harbin and six-year-old Ollie before they were found later that evening dead in a parking garage near the Ellis County Courthouse.
Ollie’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday. The cause of death for the mother and son has not been released, pending toxicology reports.
