(Dallas, TX) — Some volunteers with the Texas Baptist Men are heading out this morning for Florida to help people affected by Hurricane Dorian.
The volunteers started loading up supplies on Saturday, following a conference call in which they discussed where and when they’ll most likely be needed. The nonprofit has ten-thousand volunteers in Texas. Their crews are prepared to supply up to 30-thousand hot meals a day, and they also provide portable showers and laundry units.
Dorian has been downgraded to Category 3, but is still a dangerous storm.
