Life Sentence For Man Who Beat 12-Year-Old Girl

(Fort Worth, TX) — It’s life in prison for a man who severely beat and choked a young Fort Worth girl as she walked to a bus stop last year.

Jurors on Wednesday handed 37-year-old Terry Wayne King the maximum sentence available for his attack on 12-year-old Doricka Uwimana. The jury had convicted King the day before on separate charges of injury to a child and assault.

The girl was so severely injured she needed a heart transplant.
