(Burleson, Tx) – Several cars were involved in a deadly accident in Johnson County just before 6:30 Sunday night.

Emergency responders from Burleson, Alvarado, Fort Worth Medstar EMS and multiple others responded to the crash on southbound I35W near Bethesda Road.  Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, one person was taken by CareFlite to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.  Five other patients were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.

The Southbound lanes of I35W were closed for hours while police investigated the scene.
