Search Continues For Parents That Left Newborn In Arlington Dumpster

(Arlington, TX) — An Arlington newborn continues to recover after being found abandoned in a dumpster over the weekend.

Police say a woman heard the baby crying as she took out her trash at an apartment complex in Arlington. Investigators are looking for the parents, who could face a felony charge, but they mainly want to figure out the newborn’s family history.

Texas has a safe haven law that allows unwanted babies 60 days old or younger to be left at certain locations, like fire stations and hospitals, with no questions asked.
