(Dallas, TX) — The Census Bureau needs to hire thousands of census workers to knock on doors, and they’re hiring in North Texas.
The pay varies by county, but runs about $22 an hour. People who want to apply can do so online. Local officials urge residents not to be afraid of cooperating with the Census. An eight-percent population undercount would cost North Texas more than three-billion-dollars over ten years.
An undercounted population could also affect the state’s number of Congress members.
